Monday

An early morning as our son thought he'd heard someone creeping up the stairs this morning. I think it was just the creaks of the house as it settled, the ticking of the electric baseboards as they come on and off (we don't usually have them on). I lay with him for a while, which is unusual - as much as he enjoys snuggling he doesn't request it anymore (and wasn't even going to come get either of us that early in the morning), and he slept for a while longer.

Spent most of the day (sevvvvvvvvveral hours!) playing a few different boardgames with the family, then off to daughter's tap class and then son's aikido class. A little snow today, just enough to make the chickens cock their heads and look at the sky as if it was falling down on them! They're such comical beings.

Overall a fantastic day, all of us together - what a blessing that is, to be with loving family!! Ended the day with tai chi practice and now just finishing up a few computer errands and then off to bed.

Coming down with a cold, it seems. Have slept with the window slightly ajar for 2 nights, which seems to leave me rather congested in the mornings, except now it's a runny nose and plugged eustachian tubes.
