i was just reflecting on our past week...
one thing we were checking out was www.tumbleweedhouses.com - very well-designed small, mobile houses. my son *LOVES* the idea of travelling with your house-on-wheels. he's all about travelling and all about small spaces. i can totally see him building on of these as a teen and young adult. we also really enjoyed checking out the Happy Janssens, a family that travels in their veggie-oil powered RV.
I've been reading the Anastasia series of books aloud to the kids. For those who think kids aren't mature enough to handle 'big' concepts, think again. My kids are 9 & 6 and while the 6 year old thinks of the books more in terms of how it relates to playing fairies (Anastasia's like a fairy princess to her), the 9 yr old is TOTALLY able to grasp big philosophical, spiritual concepts that are contemplated in the books.
we spent an afternoon at the beach with the local homeschooling families (11 kids in all) - the little girls built driftwood houses for their dollies and stuffies and the boys and older girls worked on human-sized driftwood forts. i tell ya, this spring sunshine has been soooooo wonderful!
the kids and i also played in the garden. dd & i played fairies while we planted seeds. the kids cared for their fruit trees and just loved being outdoors in nature. we are so very blessed here with the natural beauty of our surroundings.
i'd love to write more, but i really need to get out there and enjoy the sunshine today!
*BLISS*ings to you this day,
Namaste
